Launch and listing preparation brings a project's public records, supply information, and request history together, with an owner for each open item. A clear packet makes review and handoffs easier. The platform decides whether to list the asset.
Start with public records
Before someone starts filling in forms, agree on the records the team will use. Save the source link beside each fact and record when it was checked. This working packet is an organizational recommendation; the current platform form determines what that particular request needs.

CoinGecko distinguishes active listings from preview listings. Its active-listing guide requires trading on an exchange it tracks; its preview guide requires a verifiable announcement of the token generation event's date and time. CoinMarketCap's tracked-listing guidance describes a functional website, a block explorer, active trading with material volume on a CMC-tracked exchange, and a project representative. Check the current guidance for the request you are making. Meeting a checklist does not guarantee acceptance.

Use the table to agree on who prepares the records and who approves the decisions before the engagement starts. Preparation support depends on the written scope. The project retains account and submission control; platforms and specialist providers make their own decisions.
| Work | Project team | Preparation support |
|---|---|---|
| Public records | Supply official links and confirm project facts. | Organize the records, compare sources, and flag inconsistencies. |
| Supply documentation | Confirm wallet roles, allocations, and the calculation's assumptions. | Assemble the source trail and document the method and unresolved questions. |
| Request packet | Approve the content and control the submission account. | Prepare the packet and track missing inputs and decisions. |
| Follow-up and handoff | Approve corrections and answer project-specific questions. | Maintain the request history, coordinate owners, and prepare the handoff. |

A supply number needs enough context for another person to check it. CoinGecko's supply update process and CoinMarketCap's supply methodology ask for supporting distribution and wallet information. These are supply-review procedures, not one universal set of requirements for every listing. Keep the calculation and its evidence together.

Identity checks differ by platform. CoinGecko currently asks for a post from an official project social account before submission, then a reply containing the request ID after its confirmation email. CoinMarketCap's form instead asks for a verification post after the initial application, including its ticket number. Check the current instructions before posting. Keep one request history so a change of team member does not lose the context.

Source note
A useful handoff tells the next person what they can act on and what still needs an answer. For each open item, write down the question, the available source, the responsible person, and the next action. If supply figures disagree, for example, name who will confirm the wallet exclusions and where the correction needs to be made.

I can help organize the records, prepare the packet, document supply, and coordinate follow-up so your team can focus on its priorities and the work it does best. We agree on the deliverables, responsibilities, price, and timing in writing. You confirm the project facts and retain account and submission control.
